Sandrine Holt (Terminator Genisys) has signed on as a series regular opposite Lucas Till and George Eads in CBS‘ new fall series MacGyver, a reimagining of the 1985 show about a resourceful and ingenious agent who improvises his way out of sticky situations using everyday items like rubber bands, chewing gum and a Swiss Army knife.
Holt joins recently cast Justin Hires as two of four new series regulars added after the pilot as the project is being revamped by Hawaii Five-0 showrunner Peter Lenkov, with only Till and Eads staying on from the original pilot.
Holt will play Patricia Thornton, an ex-field agent turned director of operations for DXS (Department of External Services). She doesn’t let the title ‘Boss’ stand in her way and is always willing to join the team in the field – meaning that she’s not going to let those under her have all the fun. Her character will be introduced in the series’ premiere on September 23.
MacGyver follows a 20-something MacGyver (Till) as he creates a clandestine organization where he uses his knack for solving problems in unconventional ways to help prevent disasters from happening.
The Returned alumna Holt’s other TV credits include Fear the Walking Dead, Mr. Robot, The Art of More, House of Cards and Hostages. Holt is repped by Innovative Artists and Management 360.
