Subject: Powerful Nmap web frontend

Someone just pointed me to http://www.2600.org.nz/netnmap.php , which
is one of the more powerful Nmap web frontends available on the Web.
It allows for OS fingerprinting, most of the scantypes (UDP, IPPROTO,
SYN, ACK, etc), fragmentation, RPC grinding, and other options. Not
only can you scan arbitrary machines, but you can scan networks using
normal Nmap CIDR notation! Their tools page at
http://www.2600.org.nz/nettools.php also lets you launch Netbios
Auditing Tool (NAT) and Nessus attacks.

These tools can be quite useful for viewing your network from a true
outsider perspective. Enjoy them while they last. And be sure to
play nice, lest they be shut down due to abuse like most of the
others! Their permissiveness right now seems a bit naive, but perhaps
if abuse is limited they will only restrict the service further rather
than shutting it down..

In other news, I added the Alldas defacement/announce list to
lists.insecure.org today and expect to release Nmap 2.54BETA37 within
a couple days.

Cheers,
Fyodor
