Maragheh Mardaq-Chay Bridge, Memorial of Safavid Era
TEHRAN, June 19 (Mehr News Agnecy) –- Dating back to the Safavid era, the historical Mardaq-Chay Bridge is skillfully built on the river of Mardaq-Chay in Maragheh, East Azarbaijan.

The 26m-long bridge which is made of brick, used to be the main junction for Maragheh, Hashtroud and Mianeh. The bridge and its Roman style of identical spans and arches is a must-see for all those who whish to travel to the region. 

Maragheh is a city in north-western Iran. It lies on the southern slopes of Mount Sahand, just 22km east of Lake Orumiyeh, and 130km south of Tabriz by road.
