Give a `missed call' to get information on city

Staff Reporter

It is a bid to bridge the gap between "haves and have-nots" of PCs

Bangalore: New to the city and want to know more about Bangalore? Places of entertainment, shopping or history in a capsule are all yours. You just need to dial 40164016 and hang up. Soon you will get a return call asking the kind of information you seek and it will be provided.

It all began when Stratycon Technologies, an information technology company based here, launched a web portal www.bangaloredreamz.com a month ago. The aim of the company was to bridge the gap between the "haves and have-nots" of personal computers, said K. Mahesh, head of operations. For those with access to a personal computer and the Internet, information about the city is just a mouse click away. For others, it is not so easy.

Colonel Mahesh, told presspersons on Tuesday: "From movies to travel queries, garnering information was never easier and all this comes at zero cost." The company plans to venture into in Chennai and Hyderabad with websites called chennaidreamz.com and twincitydreamz.com.
