Central London Partnership

Central London Partnership (CLP) is a partnership that has been established to provide a vehicle to consider and promote the needs of central London, as well as devise solutions to make it a better place in which to live, work, invest and visit.

CLP members comprise senior-level people who run the area and its services, such as local authorities and the Metropolitan Police and Transport for London, along with those who have a concern for central London, from major businesses to arts organisations.

CLP's work relates to the geographical area covered by its eight member local authorities: Corporation of London, London Boroughs of Camden, Islington, Lambeth and Southwark, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Wandsworth Borough Council and Westminster City Council. However, many of the issues which CLP tackles are more concentrated in the central business district, so there is a heavier focus on this area.

Local Strategic Partnerships and Neighbourhood Renewal Strategies (GOL)

  • deliver better services to local people, especially those living in the most deprived neighbourhoods
  • develop and deliver a community strategy, which provides a framework for other strategies in the borough
  • develop and deliver a local neighbourhood renewal strategy
