Jiangyin Suspension Bridge

Bridging the Yangtze

The timely completion of Jiangyin Bridge confirmed Cleveland Bridges reputation in long span bridge construction.  Its completion was timed to mark the 50th Anniversary of the Revolution on 1st October 1997 and was opened by President Jiang Zhemin.

The bridge is the most seaward crossing of the Yangtze River carrying a dual three lane highway over the river with 50m navigational clearance.   Jiangyin Bridge has a main span of 1385m main span - the longest in China until completion of Runyang South in 2005.
