(Please forward) For tens of thousands of people coming to the 48th Annual
San Francisco International Auto Show <http://www.sfautoshow.com> to see
and dream about cars, the first one they will see as they get off the
escalator at Moscone Center will be CalCars' PRIUS+.

That's thanks to sponsorship from the four-million member Auto Association
of Northern California, which is focusing its "Greenlight Initiative" on
future clean cars, starting with hybrids.

The show is from Sat. Nov. 19- Sun. Nov. 26 (including Thanksgiving),
10AM-10PM except 10-8 closing day, at 747 Howard Street, adults $8,
accompanied children under 12 free.

We hope to have a representative at the booth for several hours daily, and
we will distribute information about PHEVs, CalCars, and Plug In America.
But if you live in the Bay Area, this could be your opportunity to explain
to consumers the environmental, energy security and economic benefits of
flex-fuel plug-in hybrids. Just learn enough between now and then (by
reviewing our website and by downloading the materials listed at
<http://www.calcars.org/faq.html>) so you can speak about the
issue, and show up anytime to be an unofficial advocate/spokesperson.

Can Your Choice of Car Change the World?
AAA of Northern California Launches 'Greenlight Initiative'

San Francisco, November 1, 2005- Imagine a time when you no longer go the
gas station to fuel up your car. Instead, you plug your car into an
electrical outlet, or just fill up the tank with french fry oil. You may
not have noticed, but that future is now.

To help build awareness of all the new alternative fuels and vehicles
available, AAA of Northern California is launching the Greenlight
InitiativeTM. The new program will help motorists make sense of all the new
options available and encourage the development of transportation choices.

"The rise of gas prices over the last few years has really sparked the
interest of people curious about different transportation options,"
explained AAA of Northern California spokesperson Jenny Mack. "While we
recognize hybrid cars and other alternatively-fueled vehicles may not be
for everyone, we think it's time to start building awareness for what is
clearly the next chapter in the history of the automobile."

During the month of November, AAA of Northern California will be focusing
on one of the most commercially available alternative vehicles: hybrid
electric cars. During "Hybrid Awareness Month," hybrids from various auto
manufacturers will be on display at participating AAA offices. Visitors to
the San Francisco International Auto Show can stop by the AAA booth, where
a prototype, 100 mile-per-gallon hybrid vehicle will be on display and a
hybrid "roadmap" to the auto show will be available.

More information about Greenlight and hybrids and alternative fuels will be
available at all AAA offices. People with questions or comments about AAA's
Greenlight Initiative can call (866) 554-9929 or e-mail greenlight@....

"This is a time of tremendous experimentation in the auto industry," said
Mack. "Greenlight isn't about recommending one option over the other. We
just want to get people excited about a time when we won't need to be so
reliant on gasoline-powered engines."

AAA of Northern California offers a wide array of automotive, travel,
insurance and financial services to more than 4 million members. AAA has
been a leader and advocate for the safety and security of all travelers
since it was founded more than 100 years ago.
