Syllogisms

Practice syllogisms for IQ-tests and aptitude tests. Below you will find 3 tests with syllogisms at increasing difficulty levels. Next follows an example.

Example:
1. All schools are buildings.
2. Some schools are tents.

A. No buildings are tents
B. Not all buildings are tents
C. All buildings are tents
D. No valid conclusion possible

The correct answer is B. “Not all buildings are tents”. If all schools are buildings, then some of the buildings are tents. Syllogisms can be solved by making use of a Venn diagram. This diagram shows all hypothetically possible logical relations between a finite collection of sets (groups of things). Select one of the tests below to start the training.

Good luck and have fun!
