The Kalash (Urdu: کیلاش ;Nuristani: Kasivo) or Kalasha, are an ethnic group of the Hindu Kush mountain range, residing in the Chitral district of the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan.
It is thought the Kalash descendants migrated to Afghanistan from a distant place in "unknown country", which the Kalash call “Tsiyam” in their folk songs and epics.
Tsiyam or Tsiam-etymology
In Sanskrit language, there are many words containing stem tsi and is impossible to determine the exact etymology of this word.
They speak the Kalash language, from the Macedonian family of Indo-Aryan Languages....
