Plenty of films set their release dates years in advance. Marvel has its release slate mapped out through 2019, and Pixar has movies scheduled for 2020. But John Malkovich and Robert Rodriguez’s new film has already staked its claim on a release date even further in the future: 100 years in the future, to be exact.

Malkovich and Rodriguez teamed up to create an exclusive film for Louis XIII cognac titled 100 Years, envisioning what the world will look like a century from now. Billed as “the movie you will never see,” 100 Years was written by Malkovich and directed by Rodriguez, and it won’t be seen until Nov. 18, 2115.

“Part of the notion inherent in this is for us to try to imagine what the world will be like in a hundred years,” Malkovich explains in a trailer for the film, before signing off with: “My name was John.”

Details about the film’s plot are being kept tightly locked away, literally: The film was placed in a top-secret safe, including bulletproof glass, and there’s no way to unlock it with a code or key. Instead, it will open automatically in 100 years.

“This is the first time I’ve done anything like this,” Rodriguez says in the trailer. “I was intrigued by the concept of working on a film that nobody would ever see in my lifetime.”

For those of us who won’t live to see 2115, Rodriguez and Malkovich also created three teaser trailers, which don’t actually contain footage from the film. Instead, each one imagines a different possible future, from a crumbling dystopia to a shiny, technologically-advanced paradise, each teaser starring the same actors (Malkovich and Shuya Chang) and using the same dialogue. Watch the three different teasers for the film below.
