Livingstone
Livingstone is the tourist capital of Zambia, a landmark to the Mighty Victoria Falls, is located in the Southern Province of Zambia. The town was inspired and named after Scottish explorer Dr David Livingstone who was the first European to see and name the Falls after the British queen at the time.
The history and culture is rich as is evidenced by the number of museums, the art and craft producers, the architecture, and the native food and way of life in the town.
Founded in 1905, Livingstone owes its existence to Victoria Falls. When Dr Livingstone first set his eyes on the Falls in 1855, he opened up the area to hunters, traders and other missionaries. In 1911 it became the capital of what was then called Northern Rhodesia. While Lusaka is today the capital of Zambia, Livingstone remains the “Tourist Capital” as there is so much to see and do

Major attractions include the Victoria Fall , Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, the Crocodile and Snake Park, Mukuni Village, the Craft Market, The Livingstone Museum , and The Railway Museum.
