Our Story

The purpose of Antergos is to provide a modern, elegant, and powerful operating system based on one of the best Linux distributions available, Arch Linux. Users need not be linux experts nor developers in order to use Antergos. From long-time linux users to linux users of only a few months, Antergos is for everyone.

The Antergos Project was originally started under the name Cinnarch, and provided only one desktop environment. Today, Antergos supports multiple desktops allowing users to select their favorite during installation.

Alexandre Filgueira

Project Leader

As a passionate Linux user, Alex simply wanted to have some fun coding. As a result, Antergos was born. Alex works as the Head of Development at a marketing firm in Lima (Peru). In his free time he enjoys listening to good music and watching his favorite TV shows.

Gustau Castells

Lead Developer

Gustau is a software engineer that works as an IT teacher in a High School near Barcelona. He’s a Linux enthusiast and enjoys programming in many different languages. In his free time he likes go trekking in the mountains of his beautiful country, Catalonia.

Dustin Falgout

Senior Developer

Dustin is an experienced Web Developer and Linux enthusiast with a passion for problem solving. When Dustin is not busy with his day job at Elegant Themes, he can usually be found catching up on the TV shows that he missed during the week.
